Our forest bathing booking terms, in plain language — including cancellations, refunds, safety and photographs.

Breathe Hakone is a brand of Coconuts Hike Japan. All bookings, payments and refunds are handled by Coconuts Hike Japan, and these terms are the same terms that apply to any Coconuts Hike Japan booking. By booking a session with us, you agree to the terms below.

Free rescheduling is available if you ask more than 48 hours before your session, subject to availability.
If we cancel because conditions are unsafe — extreme weather, trail closures, volcanic activity warnings, or any other safety concern — you will be offered a full refund (minus the 10% administration fee) or the option to reschedule, subject to availability.
Light rain or ordinary mountain weather does not qualify for a refund unless our guide judges it unsafe. Forest bathing in soft rain is often the best version of it.
If you booked through a third-party platform, that platform's cancellation policy applies, not this one.

Sessions may be modified, postponed or cancelled because of typhoons, heavy rain or snow, or government warnings such as volcanic activity or trail closures. Hakone's mountain weather changes quickly, and we would always rather adapt than push through something unsafe.
Disruptive behaviour — including alcohol abuse or ignoring safety instructions — may result in removal from the session without a refund.
We follow Leave No Trace principles. Please carry out everything you carry in, and do not disturb wildlife or plants. The forests we walk in are working, living places, and some of the trees are older than the country's modern history.
Photography is not guaranteed as part of a session. If we would like to take photographs or video for promotional use, we will ask for your consent. You may decline, and we will not use identifiable images of you without permission.
Personal data is handled in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). See our Privacy Policy for details.
By booking, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms, that you are physically fit for the session you have chosen, and that you understand and accept the risks involved.
